On behalf of the Kempenfelt Rotary Club, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 19th annual Colt for the Day charity event. This unique event has provided a great opportunity for children ages 6 to 11 to experience meaningful interaction with players from the Barrie Colts as they become a “Colt For The Day”.
As Rotarians, we take pride in volunteering for special events like these. Today we share in the excitement of the young hockey fans. We are grateful for the tremendous support that our Rotary club has enjoyed from the community. This support allows us to give back to many organizations and people in need. By attending and supporting this event, you have helped us to raise over $200,000 for local charities, not-for-profit organizations as well as projects
supported by Rotary International. This year we will be providing financial support to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie.
This event would not be possible without the help of the Barrie Colts, the many volunteers who give of their time, and of course, our sponsors. Please make a special effort to support the community-minded businesses who have made this day possible. We are truly indebted to them for their continued involvement in making this event such a success.
